Hello everyone and welcome back to the last term of the year. We’re so sorry not to be seeing you in person but we hope that you enjoyed a restful half term and are ready to get stuck back into your home learning!
This is the new Secondary Home Learning area and here you will find everything you need for the Summer term.
It is so important that you work hard this term so that you don’t fall behind – it’s been a long time since your last day in school, but this means your education and your commitment to your work is more important than ever.
To help you we have created a new timetable for you to follow and organise your time. We expect that you should be completing at least 3 hours a day and we will be checking up on what you are doing through phone calls and even home visits so please make sure that you complete your work on time. We also be celebrating your successes on our virtual pride assembly so look out for appreciations!

Hello Y7 and welcome to the penultimate week of our final summer term. We understand that that his have been a very strange way to work over the last few months and we appreciate all your efforts in home learning and how you’ve risen to the challenge of new technologies to be able to continue your education with us.
It has been a real learning curve for your teachers too as we have all adapted to be school being at home rather than in the academy. Excitingly though, we are now able to offer you the opportunity to return to see us before we say our final farewells of the year.
Next week you will be invited into the academy for a 1 hour session with members of your advisory so that you can catch-up, discuss your home learning and find out about your summer project. The days allocated to each advisory are as follows and your advisory tutor will phone to confirm your attendance by Wednesday 8th July.

Let’s keep this up Y8 and we are now starting to chase up any gaps in your learning so please make sure you complete all of your subjects!

Once you have completed Lesson 3, have a look at the Geography fieldwork at home.
This is a fun opportunity to try a practical fieldwork investigation, all about your local area. We will collect the results and turn it into a whole school project when we get back to school. You don’t need to finish it all this week, so take your time and have some fun trying out some techniques you will be using in more Geography fieldwork when we are back at school.

Week commencing 06/07/20
Hello Y8 and welcome to the penultimate week of our final summer term. We understand that that his have been a very strange way to work over the last few months and we appreciate all your efforts in home learning and how you’ve risen to the challenge of new technologies to be able to continue your education with us.
It has been a real learning curve for your teachers too as we have all adapted to be school being at home rather than in the academy. Excitingly though, we are now able to offer you the opportunity to return to see us before we say our final farewells of the year.
Next week you will be invited into the academy for a 1 hour session with members of your advisory so that you can catch-up, discuss your home learning and find out about your summer project. The days allocated to each advisory are as follows and your advisory tutor will phone to confirm your attendance by Wednesday 8th July.

Hello Y8 and welcome to the final week of the summer term. It has definitely not been the year we were all expecting but we’re thankful for everyone’s efforts during these unusual times.
We are so excited to be welcoming you back this week for your 1 hour session with members of your advisory so that you can catch-up, discuss your home learning and find out about your summer project. Thank you to everyone who has confirmed their attendance and we can’t wait to see you all.
As a reminder the timetable shows your assigned day but you will only be allowed into school if you have confirmed your attendance. Please do not show-up to school if you have not as you will be turned away.
