Our OADV 'Bear of Sheffield' is complete
We are pleased to say that our OADV Bear Appeal is complete and it was fantastic to be part of the great Sheffield Bear Hunt!
We had huge success with our fundraising appeal, and we want to say
Thank you!
The Bears of Sheffield will raise vital funds to transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and our aim was to raise at least £1000. We have smashed this target and raised £2011
Here is how we did it….
Online Bear Quiz
This was our first event and took place in February half term. Mr Shaw put his quiz master hat on again and created a ‘pawsome’ bear themed quiz through MS Teams.
Primary ‘Live Hive’ sponsored spell
In Primary we held a Sponsored Spell using our new programme Spelling Shed. Congratulations to all of our primary children for completing their sponsored spell ‘Live Hive’ they all worked extremely hard practising their special set of words for our fundraiser. Teachers were also very pleased with how confident the children became using Spelling Shed and now seeing this spelling progress in children’s writing.
‘Dress Down’ Friday
On Friday 19th March, it was Comic Relief, however we knew this charity would not mind that this year we kept raising money for our OADV Bear Appeal. We had an amazing ‘Dress Down Friday’ for ALL Students and Staff. It was a huge success and we raised just short of £700!
